A concerned family member, Mr Ibirinde Folu Francis, sent out a broadcast message on Facebook, asking for relevant authorities to rescue Mrs Alabi from the claws of her violent husband in Ikorodu, Lagos.

He wrote :
RASAK ALABI DID THIS TO THIS HELPLESS WOMAN AT IKORODU. THESE ARE HIS NUMBERS His phone number is 08105461563 or try 08179300201 Kindly rebroadcast until it.gets to Govt Ambode and Lagos Commissioner of Police. Dr Joe Ogunmakin over to you before Rasak Alabi kill this woman and you start paying condolence visit. Ikorodu police seems to have been compromised.
