I will Get Lil Wayne’s Money from Birdman , says Jaz Prince

Rap-A-Lot’s J. Prince has apparently stepped into the Lil Wayne and Birdman battle, vowing to get Wayne’s money from the Cash Money CEO.

Wayne has expressed that he’s exhausted from fighting with Birdman about the money he feels he’s owed (he’s suing Birdman for $51 million), and even threatened to retire at one point, before backtracking on the claim. Just yesterday, sources said that Wayne is blocking his next project The Carter V from being released on Cash Money. In addition to the $51 million lawsuit, Weezy is seeking an additional $8 million in advanced money for his shelved endeavor.

But now, J. Prince, one of the major figures in independent rap, who laid the blueprint for labels like Cash Money to even exist, has stepped in on Wayne’s side.

“Where [Wayne] is weak, I am strong,” the industry vet told TMZ. “He has gained an ally, and together we will get back all money owed to him and my son off the Drake albums.”

His son, Jaz Prince, is credited with discovering Drake and setting him up with Wayne’s Young Money label.

“I witnessed the hard work that went into Drake’s career and for Cash Money to try and take something that isn’t theirs to take, does not sit well with me and family around the world,” Prince said.

No word yet on Birdman’s response but if Prince’s reputation is anything to go by, there’s a good chance that Wayne could finally be seeing at least some of his money soon.
