Singer Mariah Carey and billionaire James Packer might be engaged, but they can?t get married just yet. The two are in the middle of their own divorces, which are not going quickly.

Carey is still in a legal wrangle with her ex-husband, actor Nick Cannon. He filed for divorce in December 2014, but as recently as August 2015, the legal battle was still ongoing.



TMZ reported that the process still isn?t over, although Carey and Cannon are getting along again and are set to make the divorce official.

However, Packer is in the middle of his own divorce from Erica Packer. TMZ notes that they split in 2013, but the divorce process in Australia is moving slowly. Erica Packer is reportedly dating singer Seal.

Packer is the son of the late media mogul Kerry Packer and runs a group of casinos in Macau and Australia. He also runs RatPac Entertainment with director Brett Ratner. Forbes estimates that he is worth $4.7 billion.

Carey and Packer got engaged earlier this week and Carey was seen wearing a 35-carat diamond engagement ring.
