Reports also suggest that Chelsea has set a medical date for Delap and his contract signing, along with the announcement, should arrive after he completes his medical.

The 22-year-old attacker’s upcoming move will also bring some financial profit for Manchester City, as they are set to receive 30% of the transfer fee. Coming from City’s academy, Delap is certainly a player who Maresca knows quite well, which is why the tactician approves of the decision to sign the England u21 international this summer.
