60-year-old man sentenced to life imprisonment for r3ping 8-year-old girl in Akwa Ibom

The Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo has sentenced a 60-year-old man, Felix Jimmy Akpan, to life imprisonment for r3ping an 8-year-old girl.  The convict was arraigned on June 24, 2024, for r3pe.  Akpan was convicted and sentenced on May 12, 2025.  Director and Head of the Akwa Ibom State Government and Gender Based Violence Response Department, Ministry of Justice, Barr. Emem Gabriel Ette, disclosed this in a post on Wednesday, May 14.  The Ministry of Justice sent one off the streets! Good riddance to bad rubbish. We move!
