Hisbah arrests 26 men and women over immoral activities in Sokoto

The Sokoto State Hisbah Board has arrested 26 men and women over alleged immoral activities. The suspects were arrested on Thursday, June 11, 2026 during coordinated raids across several parts of the state capital under ongoing Operation Tsaftace Birnin Shehu" which targets activities considered contrary to the states moral and social values.  According to a statement issued by the board, the operation was led by the Commander-General of the Sokoto State Hisbah Board, Malam Usman Abdullahi Jatau, alongside the Director of Daawah, Imam Sirajo Abubakar. Officials carried out the raid in Nakasari, Hubbare, Offer Road, the Sokoto Central Motor Park, and Giginya Hotel, where 26 male and female suspects were apprehended. The board said the operation is part of sustained efforts to sanitise the city.    The post Hisbah arrests 26 men and women over immoral activities in Sokoto appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
