– Two of the judges appeared before officials of the anti-graft agency in Lagos where they were reportedly questioned

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has commenced the quizzing of some alleged corrupt judges in the country.

Vanguard reports that the two Federal High Court judges, Mohammed Nasir Yunusa and Hyeladzira Ajiya Nganjiwa, accused of corruption in office were on Monday, October 17, 2016, summoned to the Lagos office of the anti-graft agency where some officials questioned them.

Some judges were recently arrested after a raid on their official apartments by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the National Judicial Council (NJC) had since kicked against the action of the security operatives.

While the NJC and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) have continued to grumble,President Muhammadu Buhari recently told some citizens in Germany that his administration would not allow the corrupt enjoy their loot.

Vanguard said the two judges arrived at the EFCC office around 10:05 am and were immediately ushered into the interrogation room.

The report quoted a source as saying: “Their invitation is sequel to the bribery and money laundering allegations the commission discovered during investigations in an ongoing case in which two senior lawyers have already been arraigned in court.

“The judges are presently being attended to by operatives of the commission.”
