A Nigerian woman, Ijeoma Okoli, has mourned a childhood friend who allegedly d!ed as a result of domestic violence. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Ijeoma revealed that Omerebere Faith Okafor, got married at 17 and d!ed at 26. While Faith's story ended in tragedy, Ijeoma hopes that it will give other women in abusive marriage, the courage and strength to speak up, seek help or walk away.
