Medical Laboratory Technician -  Awoyaya at Clinix Healthcare Nigeria

Clinix Healthcare is seeking a competent, reliable, and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team at the Awoyaya branch. We are committed to providing accurate and timely diagnostic services in a patient-centered environment.


Responsibilities


Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, body fluids, etc.) following standard protocols.
Perform routine laboratory tests in areas such as Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, and Serology under the supervision of a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring they are clean and properly calibrated.
Prepare reagents, stains, and culture media as required.
Assist in running quality control checks and maintaining accurate laboratory records.
Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste and adherence to infection control standards.
Support the laboratory team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Deliver test results promptly to the appropriate clinicians.


Requirements & Skills


Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
Good practical knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Computer literate with basic knowledge of laboratory information systems.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical laboratory practice.


Qualifications


Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology/Science from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program completed (where applicable).
Minimum of 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in a medical laboratory or hospital.
