A Nigerian man, Kelvin Onovo, has expressed concern after he discovered that eggs are cracked open and sold in small nylon bags in markets amidst soaring food prices. Kevin, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Friday, April 3, said the pack called akwa agbara agba contains about five eggs and are sold for N500 each. He also shared concern over the hygienic condition of such eggs as shells are natural protection against bacteria. They are now selling egg inside nylon and people are actually buying it, he wrote. I was in the market yesterday with my wife to bulk buy fruit and I saw this. Honestly, if anyone had posted this on the internet, I would not have believed it. This is egg they broke and put inside nylon for people who cannot afford egg, and the shocking thing is that people are buying it. They call it akwa agbara agba. I had to buy one to make this post. Its about 5 eggs inside and its N500. I dont know what to say, mehn. Would you buy this? And what do you think would cause egg to be sold this way Is it even healthy?
