Create a Wonderful World Initiative (CWI) is a registered non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Borno. CWI prime motto is to create a wonderful world for the future generation. A world where girls and boys have equal access to education, basic health care service, and protected from all forms of abuse and have knowledge and skills to thrive within and beyond communities with devastating effects of climate change. A world where women and men are resilient to shocks and stresses of Humanitarian crisis and climate change.

In 2019, a group of educated, dynamic and like-minded youths got together and established this organization in other to address the most urgent needs of the most vulnerable people of Northen Nigeria and subsequently the country at large. The organization’s focus was not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. CWI has been carrying out a range of interventions in the areas of Health and Hygiene Education, Awareness raising, protection, Women empowerment and climate change.Create a Wonderful-world Initiative (CWI) is a registered non-governmental organization committed to improving the wellbeing, resilience, and dignity of vulnerable populations through integrated humanitarian and development interventions. CWI works across key thematic areas including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health, Protection, Education, Nutrition, Peace Building, and Climate Action, with a strong focus on community-driven and sustainable solutions.
CWI is currently implementing a project titled Improving WASH Access and Safety for Vulnerable Families in Balanga LGA, Gombe State aimed at improving access to essential services and strengthening the resilience of crisis-affected and vulnerable populations, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, children, persons with disabilities, and host communities.

The project responds to identified WASH needs within the target locations and seeks to promote safety, dignity, inclusion, and long-term recovery through evidence-based and locally grounded interventions.
The project is funded by Irish Aid and is implemented in close collaboration with community structures and relevant government authorities. As part of its commitment to accountability, transparency, learning, and donor visibility, CWI seeks to document and communicate project achievements and human-interest stories through a professionally produced success story documentary that highlights tangible outcomes, beneficiary voices, and lessons learned from implementation.

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT 

The purpose of this assignment is to engage a qualified and experienced media production consultant or firm to conceptualize, produce, and deliver a high-quality success story documentary that effectively captures and communicates the results, impact, and lived experiences emerging from the implementation of CWI in Balanga LGA.
The documentary is intended to go beyond routine project reporting by humanizing project outcomes, amplifying the voices of beneficiaries, and visually demonstrating how the project has contributed to improved access to essential services, enhanced wellbeing, and strengthened resilience among crisis-affected and vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, children, and other at-risk groups.

Specifically, the assignment seeks to;


Document key project interventions and measurable results in a clear and engaging visual format.
Showcase beneficiary success stories that reflect dignity, inclusion, and positive change.
Produce a versatile documentary suitable for dissemination across multiple platforms, including donor briefings, community feedback sessions, organizational websites, and social media channels.


SCOPE OF WORK 
The consultant/company will be responsible for the following tasks:
Pre-Production


Develop a documentary concept and storyline aligned with project objectives.
Prepare a filming plan, script outline, and interview guide.
Coordinate with the project team on locations, beneficiaries, and schedules.
Obtain informed consent from all individuals featured.


Production (Filming)


Conduct on-site filming in approved project location (Telese and Gelengu Communities)
Capture high-quality video footage of; Project activities and facilities, Beneficiary interviews and testimonials, Community leaders and implementing staff (as appropriate), Contextual and environmental shots (B-roll).
Ensure ethical, dignified, and culturally sensitive representation of beneficiaries


Post-Production (Editing)


Edit footage into a coherent, engaging documentary. 
Add subtitles (English or other agreed language)
Include background music, graphics, and transitions
Integrate organizational and donor branding as required
Conduct revisions based on feedback from the organization


DELIVARABLES

The expected deliverables include:


One (1) edited success story documentary of [5–10] minutes (or as agreed)
Short teaser/video clips (30–60 seconds) for social media use
High-resolution final video files in MP4 and other agreed formats
Raw footage and project-related still images
A brief production report summarizing activities and locations covered


REPORTING AND COORDINATION 

The consultant/company will report to the Project Officer and work closely with the other project team throughout the assignment. All deliverables are subject to review and approval by the Organization Management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

The consultant/company should have:


Proven experience in documentary filmmaking and video editing
Previous work with NGOs, humanitarian, or development projects (added advantage)
Strong storytelling, interviewing, and visual composition skills
Access to professional filming and editing equipment
Ability to work in challenging field environments
Understanding of ethical media practices and informed consent
