Five years after the UK left EU market, the impact on French fishermen

Five years ago, the United Kingdom left the single European market after a post-Brexit transition. One of the side effects of the exit was limiting British waters for EU fishermen, who were forced to reduce their quotas by 25%. In France, 90 boats, which lost their licenses to fish in British waters, were scrapped. This dismantling of the fishing fleet has had knock-on effects for the whole sector, particularly in Brittany. A report from the port of Guilvinec by Alice Brogat and Valentine Erba with Oliver Farry.
