Samsung set to Launch Galaxy S7 in Europe Earlier than Expected

Samsung traditionally unveils its first flagship smartphone in late February / early March at Mobile World Congress trade fair.

The South Korean company usually needs about two months to make its Galaxy S available on the market. In the last couple of years, Samsung's Galaxy S smartphone hit shelves in April.

This year Samsung is determined to do things differently, rumors claim. We reported several days ago that Galaxy S7 is expected to arrive in the United States on March 11.

Today, another source claims Samsung's premium phone will make its debut in Europe on the same day. Tech journalist Shai Mizrachi says that we should mark our calendars as the first European rollout for Galaxy S7 family starts on March 11.

The message also hints to more Galaxy S7 models since Mizrachi refers to it as a family. Previous rumors mention at least two versions that will be announced next month: Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. A third smartphone, Galaxy S7 edge+ might have been canned by Samsung for unknown reasons.

Samsung Galaxy S7's European release date comes in line with the US launch that's been tipped for March 11. Moreover, the Asian rollout of the flagship smartphone is happening in March as well, though no exact date has been leaked yet.

All these pieces of information suggest that Samsung Galaxy S7 will benefit from a global rollout on March 11, less than a month after the official unveiling.

Two other flagships might be announced during the same week

Samsung confirmed an Unpacked 2016 event on February 21, so we can safely assume this is the date Galaxy S7 will be announced. Along with Galaxy S7, at least, one other flagship will be showcased at MWC 2016 in Barcelona.

Xiaomi Mi5 will be announced on February 24 and for the first time, the event will take place in Europe. Another flagship that might go official next month is the LG G5.

The South Korean company confirmed an event on February 21, but it's unclear what device LG will announce on that date.
