Assistant Production Manager (Frozen Chicken) at AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited

To assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities at the poultry abattoir, ensuring compliance with quality standards, production targets, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


Support the implementation of production schedules to meet sales demand.
Supervise all production processes and ensure workflow meets efficiency, safety, and quality benchmarks.
Coordinate closely with quality control, maintenance, and logistics teams.
Ensure staff compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
Monitor yields, reduce wastage, and track production KPIs.
Train, guide, and evaluate production line teams to improve performance.
Assist with troubleshooting production challenges and providing prompt solutions.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and ensure proper documentation of all production activities.


Qualifications & Experience


B.Sc./HND in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in poultry/chicken processing or food production.
Strong understanding of food safety systems such as HACCP and FSSC 22000.
Proven supervisory or mid-management experience in a food processing facility.

Problem-solving and process optimization.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance protocols.
