After a long battle amid controversy, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunsuwi has emerged the new Ooni of Ife.

His emergence came following the death of Oba Sijuwade.

Ogunwusi is a prince from the Giesi Ruling House in the town.


The Secretary to the Osun State Government , Moshood Adeoti, said in a three-paragraph statement that the selection of the new Ooni followed the completion of all processes for the filling of the exalted stool.

Ogunwusi was selected from 21 candidates presented by the Giesi ruling house for the exalted stool.
