Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor with 500Hz refresh rate goes global

Samsung has just announced the global rollout of its Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor - the world's first 500Hz OLED monitor.



The monitor features a 27-inch QD-OLED panel with a 500Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms GtG (gray-to-gray) response time and 2560 x 1440px resolution. The panel is also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, meaning the panel can reach 500 nits, covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space and that the black is truly black. It's an OLED screen after all.

Samsung says the monitor can go up to 1000 nits, although this refers only to a small patch, just 3% to be exact.
