Ahead of the new Premier League season, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reopened old wounds with fresh jabs, claiming that rival managers Arsene Wenger and Manuel Pellegrini, are left off easily.

The Portuguese failed to win any silverware on his return to England last season, following another barren campaign at Real Madrid. When reporters insinuated at his Friday press conference that he was under pressure to win this time around, he asked: ?Why?? before adding: ?Some they have 10 years to win something, I have only two.?

Mourinho was obviously speaking about Wenger, who had not won a trophy since 2004, but clinched the FA Cup this year. He had previously been branded a ?specialist in failure? by the Chelsea boss.

Speaking about his lack of trophies, Mourinho stated that he does not achieve success by taking easy jobs or accepting positions where he can ?collect the fruit off [others?] trees?. This is an allusion to Pellegrini, who took over after Manchester City finished top and second in the two years before he arrived.

?I?m not a very intelligent guy to choose teams,? Mourinho said. ?I like to work. I like to build. I don?t like easy jobs. I don?t like to get clubs worked by other managers before me. I don?t like to arrive on time to collect the fruits off their trees.
