Arsenal to sign only three players this summer

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could make only three signings this summer after the club's failure to qualify for the Champions League.

The Gunners were in pole position to finish fourth in the Premier League last month, but a late collapse handed the spot to Tottenham Hotspur.

As a result, their transfer strategy and targets may change. The Sun reports that Arteta could make just three signings in the transfer window.

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus could be one of those. The Gunners are also heavily interested in Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Meanwhile, Arteta has been tipped to promote several young players. Charlie Patino could be one of them integrated into the first-team next term.

The youngster scored on his senior debut against Sunderland back in December, but struggled a month later in the FA Cup third round.

He is unlikely to become a Premier League regular next season, but could be offered more minutes during the Europa League group stage.
