Following a meeting of elders of the party, Rivers state chapter of All Progressives Congress has settled for a consensus candidate to run for the 2015 Governorship election. A decision which is believed may infuriate the Ogonis who have been clamouring for ?justice and equity.?

 
According to Daily Post, elders of the APC in the state unanimously agreed to present the Lawmaker representing Andoni-Opobo-Nkoro at the Federal House of Representatives, Dakuku Peterside to run for the exalted position.
