By evening yesterday, no fewer than 130 of Lawmakers out of 360 members in the House had signed a register to back the Jonathan-must-go impeachment move.

This follows yesterday's invasion of the National Assembly complex in Abuja where the police and other security agents battled unsuccessfully to stop House of Representatives Speaker Aminu Tambuwal from entering the chamber and the teargas fumes that followed. In reaction, the lawmakers have launched an impeachment battle against President Goodluck Jonathan.
