Professor Wole Soyinka, has lambasted a group promoting the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan for fabricating a statement and crediting same to him. The group known as Goodluck Support Network, is alleged to have been fabricated an article online titled: ?The North must stop bombing Nigeria and blaming Jonathan?.

A part of the controversial article stated that Professor Soyinka blamed the present administration?s failure to curtail insurgency in North east Nigeria on the refusal of the Northerners to co-operate with the government.

Reacting to the inherent impersonation, the angered Nobel laureate described the statement as a desperate tactics by the group to change the impression Nigerians have of President Jonathan by using prominent people in the society
