Apple stopped Signing iOS 10.3.2 Builds

Last month on July 19, Apple released what it would appear to be the last maintenance update for the iOS 10 mobile operating system on supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, versioned 10.3.3.

The iOS 10.3.3 update fixed a total of 47 security vulnerabilities in the kernel and numerous other components of the mobile OS, including a nasty Wi-Fi bug that could allow a remote attacker to hijack your phone or tablet and stole important files that you may have stored on device's internal storage.

Following the release of iOS 10.3.3, it would appear that Apple has stopped signing the IPSW builds of the previous iOS 10 maintenance update, specifically iOS 10.3.2, according to MacRumors website. As expected, this means that you won't be able to downgrade to iOS 10.3.2 if you've already updated your devices to iOS 10.3.3.

Of course, this move was inevitable as Apple prepares to launch the next major version of its powerful iOS mobile operating system, iOS 11, which is currently in Beta testing with a fifth Beta release already out the door for registered developers and a fourth Public Beta build for public beta testers.

By no longer signing older versions of its iOS operating system, Apple encourages iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch owners to update their devices to the latest available version, iOS 10.3.3 in this case. We also always recommend our readers to keep their devices and apps up-to-date at all times if they're looking for extra safety and security.
