Apple & Pears Limited was incorporated in the year 2012 as an Agro-Allied & Food Industry to produce soya meal, concentrate and finished feed for the poultry industry, and refined edible oil, mayonnaise, ketchup, salad cream, vinegar, and custard powder for the Nigerian market.Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dependable Bricklayer to join our Maintenance Department and support the upkeep and development of factory buildings, structures, and infrastructure.
The Bricklayer will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining brickwork, blockwork, concrete structures, floors, walls, drains, and other masonry works within the factory premises.
The role supports the Maintenance Team in ensuring that production facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.


Key Responsibilities


Lay bricks, blocks, and concrete materials for walls, partitions, drains, platforms, and other factory structures.
Carry out repairs on damaged masonry, plastering, tiling, and concrete works within the facility.
Construct and maintain flooring, drainage systems, foundations, and support structures.
Interpret building drawings, measurements, and specifications for maintenance and renovation projects.
Mix mortar and concrete to required specifications and ensure quality workmanship.
Assist in renovation, expansion, and civil maintenance projects within the factory.
Inspect buildings and structures to identify defects requiring repair or reinforcement.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors during projects and shutdowns.


Qualifications


Minimum of SSCE, Trade Test Certificate, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Masonry, Bricklaying, Building Technology, or a related field.
Professional trade certification will be an added advantage.
Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements.


Experience Requirements


Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in bricklaying and masonry works within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance environment.
Experience working in factory or industrial maintenance operations is highly desirable.
Practical experience in plastering, block laying, concrete work, tiling, and structural repairs.
Skills & Competencies
Strong masonry and construction skills.
Good understanding of construction materials and building techniques.
Ability to use masonry tools and equipment effectively.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving and repair skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.


Additional Requirements


Candidates must reside in Sagamu, Ogun State, or be willing to relocate immediately. Proximity to the factory is a critical requirement.
Successful candidate must be willing and available to resume on short notice.
Willingness to work weekends or extended hours when required for maintenance activities.


Salary


N150,000 per month.
