Intercepted bus in Ifo carried road workers, not criminals - Ogun state police

The Ogun State Police Command has debunked reports claiming that a bus carrying suspected criminals was sighted along the Ibogun Road axis in Ifo.According to a statement issued by the command, police surveillance and anti-robbery teams responded after receiving intelligence on June 3, 2026, and discovered that the bus intercepted by some youths was conveying 21 labourers employed by a construction company handling the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the IfoIbogun Road.The police said further investigations confirmed that the occupants were legitimate workers engaged for the ongoing federal road project and not criminals as widely alleged.Officers reportedly assured the workers of their safety and escorted them to their work site.The command also urged members of the public to avoid spreading unverified information, warning that false reports can cause unnecessary panic and lead to the harassment of innocent citizens. Watch video below     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post Intercepted bus in Ifo carried road workers, not criminals - Ogun state police appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
