A4&T Power Solutions is seeking for a Chartered Accountant with strong financial modeling expertise and deep General Ledger (GL) accounting knowledge. The ideal candidate must possess leadership capability to manage a team and provide financial insights that drive business performance, cost optimization, and sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities


Oversee and manage the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, payables, and inventory.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Develop robust financial models for project financing, pricing strategies, and investment evaluation.
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for solar installations and capital expenditure decisions.
Provide strategic insights to management on profitability, cash flow, and growth opportunities.
Support fundraising, investor reporting, and financial due diligence processes where required.
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of three finance staff.
Establish performance KPIs and ensure accountability within the finance unit.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Strengthen internal controls and risk management processes.


Educational Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
Minimum of 5–7 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
Proven experience managing the General Ledger and full accounting cycle.
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and advanced financial analysis.
Prior experience supervising or managing a team (minimum of 3 staff).
Strong financial modeling skills (NPV, IRR, DCF, scenario analysis).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and IFRS.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and General Ledger reconciliation.
Forecast accuracy within ±5% variance between budget/forecast and actual performance.
Identification and implementation of cost optimization initiatives achieving 5–10% annual savings.
Zero regulatory, tax, or audit penalties through full statutory compliance.
Development and delivery of robust financial models to support strategic and investment decisions.
Effective finance team leadership, including performance management and process efficiency improvement.
