Trump lauds progress on Ukraine peace deal as European leaders warn of 'tough road ahead'

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that there were "only a few points" to resolve in a potential peace deal for Ukraine and that he was sending an envoy to Moscow meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile European leaders were sceptical that Moscow would agree to any deal, as Russian strikes overnight targeted the Ukrainian capital.
