Job Summary:

Oyomesi Specialist Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Ward Assistant to support the healthcare team in providing quality patient care. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in community health who are committed to making a difference in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and mobility.
Support patients with personal hygiene, feeding, and general comfort.
Maintain a clean and safe ward environment.
Help in transporting patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Follow hospital hygiene, safety, and infection control protocols.
Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.


Requirements:


CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker) qualification is preferred.
Previous experience in a care or healthcare environment is an advantage.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit and able to perform lifting or moving tasks.
