Juventus eyes Chelsea defender

Juventus have made their initial approach to sign Chelsea defender Axel Disasi during the winter transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

The Bianconeri suffered a huge setback earlier this campaign with Gleison Bremer picking up a serious knee injury. He may not return for the campaign.

This has coincided with the dip in form for the Turin giants and the club are desperate to add more quality in the central defensive department this winter.

The club have identified Disasi as one of the top targets and they have already established contact with the player's representatives over a transfer.

Chelsea have yet to make any decision over his future, but they could resist losing him as they are involved in a surprise title race with Liverpool.

The west London giants have performed above expectations in the campaign and they are just four points behind the leaders as of now.

This could urge him to keep their squad intact until next summer.
