Manchester United are likely to confirm their second signing of the summer before they travel for their pre-season tour.


The Red Devils confirmed their first signing of the transfer window today with Tyrell Malacia joining from Feyenoord.

The Dutchman will be travelling with the United squad to Thailand on July 8, but he could be joined by Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen verbally agreed personal terms on Monday, and Fabrizio Romano claims that the contract is now being prepared.

The Dane could undergo his medical tests on either Wednesday or Thursday such that he can travel with his new teammates.

Aside from Eriksen, United are currently negotiating deals for Frenkie de Jong and Lisandro Martinez from Barcelona and Ajax.

However, neither player is expected to be available during the club's first pre-season friendly against Liverpool on July 12.

United still need to sort out add-ons for De Jong while they have yet to meet the £50 million price tag set by Ajax for Martinez.
