Manchester United have emerged as surprise contenders to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen at the end of the season.


The Red Devils are expected to pursue a new striker this summer with Edinson Cavani set to leave on a free transfer.

There are also doubts over Cristiano Ronaldo's future, particularly if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Amidst this, RAI Sport claims that the Red Devils are lining up a move for Osimhen, who has netted 11 goals this term.

The 23-year-old has only recently returned from a cheekbone fracture, but he was in superb touch at the start of the campaign.

Osimhen has been linked with a Premier League move for some time, and it is claimed that Napoli could sell him for €100m.

It is unclear whether United will pay such a substantial fee for someone, who has not played in the Premier League thus far.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is also on their radar, but the 29-year-old is likewise expected to cost a premium price this summer.
