Chelsea to offload Fikayo Tomori

Chelsea are reportedly open to loaning out Fikayo Tomori during the January transfer window with Antonio Rudiger back in contention under manager Frank Lampard.

Tomori started the campaign as the third-choice centre-back behind Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen, but he has fallen down the pecking order over the past few months.

Thiago Silva has been a regular starter alongside Kurt Zouma since his debut against West Bromwich Albion while Rudiger has slowly returned to favour after initially being ignored by Lampard.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues will consider loaning out Tomori at the turn of the year, given he has dropped down the selection order with the competition for places.

He was the subject of interest from Rennes earlier this summer while Everton were also keen on signing him. Tomori decided to stay put to fight for his place, but he may assess his options in January.

Tomori has not been in the Blues' matchday squad for the past four games in the Premier League. He was an unused substitute in the Champions League win over Rennes on Wednesday night.
