Residents of Askira-Uba and Wamdiyo in Borno state have called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency declare total emergency rule in the northeast to weed out Boko Haram insurgency who are currently invading towns and villages in southern Borno, killing people and capturing many territories.

Mrs. Laraba Mamza said, ?they have invaded Askira-Uba since yesterday and our people have been fleeing to Lassa town. Some of our people fled to Yola and those of them who ran to Maiduguri came with their husbands and children.
