The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives? Congress, APC, have been accused by the National Chairman of the United Progressives Party, UPP, Chief Chekwas Okorie, of lacking the capacity to fight corruption in the country.

Speaking over the weekend in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, during the inauguration of the newly constituted executive members of the state chapter of UPP, Okorie described politicians in PDP and APC as being responsible for the comatose state of the country?s politics and economy.

He, however, explained that UPP will provide Nigerians the option of a change or remaining the way they are by voting out PDP or APC for the UPP in 2015.

According to him, UPP is a progressive platform that is mobilizing all the progressive forces against the reactionary forces of PDP and APC stressing that ?PDP and APC are two sides of the same coin?.

Hear the UPP boss: ?Nigerians should expect political party that can fight corruption like no other; PDP and APC cannot fight corruption. If APC or PDP tells you that they can fight corruption, know they are lying against themselves because they are corruption themselves.

?PDP and APC leaders are the same people who set the politics and economy of this country in comatose. They are made up of people who have been recycled over the years.

?In UPP, we have no indicted persons in our leadership. So, we will offer Nigerians two options: that of remaining the way we are by voting either PDP or APC and the option of a change to see something different in terms of good governance, fighting corruption, providing employment and reaching out to the grassroots,? he added.
