We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to provide specialist care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional maternal and reproductive healthcare services, mentoring junior clinicians, and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical outcomes and patient experience.


Key Responsibilities


Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological consultations, diagnosis, and treatment.
Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care services.
Perform elective and emergency obstetric and gynaecological surgeries.
Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary patient management meetings.
Supervise and mentor medical officers, resident doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Participate in continuous medical education, clinical audits, and research activities.
Provide emergency on-call services as required.
Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and protocols.


Requirements


Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCOG) and / or West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Valid practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship experience as an added advantage.
Strong clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
Commitment to quality patient care and continuous improvement.
