What seems distant today may be at your doorstep tomorrow - Footballer Emenike speaks out on worsening insecurity

Former Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has spoken out over the country's worsening insecurity, urging Nigerians to rise above ethnic, political, religious sentiments and take a stand for justice and sanctity of human life. In a post on his Instagram handle on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Emenike says it's troubling that some people defend those responsible for the loss of human lives; warning that what seems distant today may be at your doorstep tomorrow." Nigeria is going through difficult times, and it's troubling to see some people defending those responsible for violence and loss of innocent lives, he wrote. We must rise above ethnic, political, religious sentiments and allow our conscience to guide us in standing for justice, peace and the sanctity of human life. The post What seems distant today may be at your doorstep tomorrow - Footballer Emenike speaks out on worsening insecurity appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
