The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The role involves processing payments, issuing receipts, balancing cash registers, and assisting customers with inquiries to ensure a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.


Key Responsibilities


Receive and process customer payments via cash, POS, transfer confirmation, or other approved payment methods.
Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Balance cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
Attend to customers politely and professionally.
Maintain proper records of daily sales and transactions.
Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Report discrepancies, suspicious transactions, or cash shortages to management immediately.
Assist in monitoring stock around the checkout area when required.
Support the sales team in ensuring excellent customer experience.
Adhere to company policies, financial procedures, and operational guidelines.


Requirements and Qualifications


Candidates should possess an SSCE/OND qualification.
Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle transactions accurately.
Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Good customer service and problem-solving skills.
