20 students rusticated for exam malpractice in Federal University Dutsin-Ma

The management of the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina State, has approved the rustication of 20 students found guilty of committing various forms of examination malpractice. A statement by the institutions Information and Protocol Director, Nasiru Abdul, said the rustication takes effect from the Second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. Abdul said the decision was made after the affected students appeared before a Disciplinary Committee, after which the report of the Committee was submitted to the schools Senate for ratification. The statement read, The Senate of Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), has approved the rustication of 20 students found guilty of committing various forms of examination misconduct, with effect from the Second semester of the 2025/2026 Academic session. Approving the verdict, after receiving the Students Disciplinary Committee Report during the 138th Regular Senate Meeting held on Wednesday, 11th March, 2026 at the Twin-Theatre of the Main Campus, the Chairman of the Senate and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Khalid Othman, said the decision is in accordance with Section 13.3, subsection 13.3c of the Universitys Policy on Examination Irregularity & Academic Misconducts. Prof. Othman commended members of the Committee for commitment to FUDMAs examination misconduct policies and for ensuring the adherence to due process, fairness, firmness and justice. He said the Senates decision is to send clear signals to all students to brace up to do the needful and also serve as a deterrence to all those who want to cut corners through the lack of adherence to FUDMAs rules and regulations governing examination conduct. All the affected students were given an opportunity to appear before the Committee, to defend themselves.The post 20 students rusticated for exam malpractice in Federal University Dutsin-Ma appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
