X user sparks debate on whether one should inform their brother’s wife before visiting his home

A tweet by a Nigerian lawyer sparked a heated debate online after he wrote that if a sibling plans to visit their married brother, they they should first inform his wife or seek her permission, especially if you plan to enter the kitchen or handle food.  He argued that the wife might not want to receive visitors and questioned what type of families dont follow this courtesy. The tweet divided opinions. Some agreed its simple courtesy. Others argued that the only person you should inform is your brother  its his responsibility to tell his wife. This is why people say women bring division to families, one user said, noting that siblings now have to walk on eggshells because their brother is married. Others shared personal experiences. One lady said the joy she feels whenever her husbands siblings visit is unexplainable, adding that if a wife makes her husbands siblings feel unwelcome, she will get whats coming for her.
