Thousands rally in Marseille to condemn drug violence after killing of activist's brother

Thousands marched in Marseille on Saturday to denounce drug trafficking after the killing of 20-year-old Mehdi Kessaci, a murder officials suspect was a "warning crime" linked to the anti-drug activism of his older brother Amine Kessaci. The activist began campaigning after his half-brother Brahim was killed in drug-related violence in 2020.
