"This country will steadily embarrass you'' - Tobi Amusan laments inferior kits provided to team Nigeria ahead of World Athletics championship

With just few hours to the kick-off of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan, former world champion and womens 100m hurdles record holder, Tobi Amusan, has criticized the Nigerian government over the kit provided for herself and other athletes representing the country at the championship. Amusan voiced her concerns over what she perceived as unprofessionalism and lack of coordination within the federation. In a video she shared on her Snapchat, Amusan said unlike other countries that provide their contingents with kits in suitcases, the Nigerian government hands them kits in nylon bags with little or nothing significant inside it. This country will steadily embarass you. Una come say make people nor switch allegiance? Una never ready. No singlets.
