Retro gaming console: just about every old game, instantly
If you're into older games, but you don't want the hassle of installing a million emulators on your PC, consider this retro gaming console. It will let you play over 20,000 games, pre-installed on a 64GB TF card. Whether you like coin-op game cabinets of the 1980s, outdated PC games, or classic Nintendo titles, this console has you covered. It comes with two wireless controllers, so you can share. 12-year-old me would have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for instant access to every game in existence, but 2025 me only needs to cough up $39.99, marked down from $64.99.
Thrustmaster T248 racing wheel
If you like playing racing games on your Xbox S/X series console, take the adrenaline up a few notches with this Thrustmaster T248 dedicated racing wheel. It features force-feedback so you'll feel the road, 25 re-mappable buttons, magnetic paddles for fast shifting, a digital dashboard display, and a ton more. And it's on sale for Labor Day for $289.99, a saving of $60 off the list price.
Best Labor Day deals for PS5 gamers
PlayStation 5 gamers: here are some suggestions on new games you can pick up at cheap-as-chips prices.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
This bundle contains two of the most cinematic, heart-pounding games ever—Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and they've been remastered and polished to a gleaming sheen: 4K fidelity, optional 60 FPS or 120 FPS modes, and haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that make every moment count. And the price is right: $19.99, a $30 saving off the list price.
WWE 2K25
Get into the ring with WWE 2K25 on PS5. The newest WWE wrasslin' fest features a roster of over 300 superstars, new match types, and the return of intergender bouts. Relive iconic moments in the Bloodline Showcase, take your fury online, and explore the new open-world “Island” mode. WWE 2K25 has received critical raves, and it can be yours for only $34.99, half-off the regular $69.99 price.
It Takes 2
My favorite kind of game is couch co-op—there's nothing like teaming up with a real-life friend—but the genre just isn't that populated these days. There are a few great couch co-op games, though, like It Takes 2, a whirlwind platformer, where you and Player 2 are a couple turned into dolls. You have to work together on every level—no single player allowed—to save your relationship. Packed with creativity, charm, and the kind of teamwork-based puzzles I love, It Takes 2 is as much a bonding experience as a game, and it's currently on sale for $19.99 (down from $39.99).
PGA Tour 2K25
What better way to celebrate Labor Day than pretending to play golf? With PGA Tour 2K25, you can compete in the new-to-the-series U.S. Open Championship, The Open Championship, and the PGA Championship, as well as other tournaments; enjoy new shot types, ball flights, and roll physics; and check out the new tools, surfaces, objects, and more in the Course Designer. And it's cheap—only $38.79—a savings of $31.20 over the $69.99 list price.
Best Labor Day Deals for PC gamers
If you're into PC gaming, I have some nice deals to wrap your mouse and keyboard around, including a ridiculous 95% off on Battlefield 2042 and more savings than is possible to quantify in 2025's Humble Bundle.
Humble Bundle
Since 2010, the Humble Bundle has sold a metric crap-ton of indie and mainstream games for ridiculously low prices every summer; plus, the proceeds go to charities like Action Against Hunger and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. So it's a total win-win.
You should check out the entire Humble Bundle because there are way too many great bargains to list, but here's a few that jumped out at me:
Bioshock: The Collection: This collection contains remastered versions of all three Bioshock games and all the single-player DLC too. This is a preposterous bargain: $11.99 for two of the best games ever made (Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite) and one pretty good game (Bioshock 2) for $11.99.
Jackbox Party Pack 3: If you want social/party games, look no further. There are 20 Jackbox games on sale through the Humble Bundle, but Party Pack 3 is the best one because it contains both the Tee K.O. and Trivia Murder Party mini-games.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt—Complete Edition: The Witcher 3 may be the single best video game ever made, and the complete edition contains the original game and all additional content, including the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions, which offer 50 hours of additional gameplay. "This must cost eleventy-billion dollars!" you might be saying. Well how about $9.99? Less than the price of a cheeseburger!
