Police in Jigawa State have arrested a 29-year-old Mustapha Idrith of Daneji village in Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State in connection with the killing of his girlfriend.


Police Spokesman of the command, SP Abdul Jinjiri confirmed the arrest.

He stated that the suspect was arrested on Jan. 18, 2020 at about 0900hrs in his house and in the course of interrogation, he confessed to have used knife to slaughtered the said victim to death.


Jinjiri said the suspect used knife to kill the victim who is his girlfriend after he had invited her to the outskirts of the village.

Jinjiri said the case has been taken to the criminal Investigation Unit for further investigation.

the Jigawa State Police uncovered a corpse of a 20-year-old divorcee, Nafisa Hashimu at Daneji village in Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
