Oppo is right up there with the likes of Xiaomi and Honor when it comes to brands that offer a wide array of choice in the Android space. If you want flagship-level specs that can outdo the latest from Apple and Samsung, then the X-series has you covered, whereas the Reno range is meant to outdo mid-range handsets like the Pixel and Galaxy A-series. If you’re not quite sure where to start, then we’ve got you covered.

The team at Tech Advisor has been testing the latest Oppo phones for years, so not only do we know how each one compares to its closest and more recent competitors, we also know how those phones stand out from everything that’s come before them. With that level of expertise, we’ve put together this very list to pair you with the best Oppo phone for your needs.

On top of the variety available, Oppo phones are known for having pretty good longevity where battery life is concerned, but in recent years they’ve really come a long way in terms of camera performance. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is a key contender amongst the best camera phones right now, pumping out the type of shots that you’d typically only expect to see from a dedicated camera.

These are the best models we’ve tested and are readily available to buy right now. If you decide that you want a more general look at what’s out there, check out our round-ups for the best phones, best mid-range phones and the best budget phones.

When the Oppo Find X9 Pro came along, it managed to put the likes of Apple and Samsung to shame in so many ways that it was hard to imagine anything coming along and topping it. Well, leave it to Oppo to make lightning strike twice because the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is an absolute beast of a smartphone. Even with increased competition from the likes of Xiaomi and Vivo at the uber high-end of the market, the X9 Ultra still stands out.

With so many industry-leading features here, it’s hard to know where to start, but the most fun you’ll have with the phone is when you’re playing around with one of its five cameras (four on the back, plus a very competent selfie camera). The main 200Mp, Hasselblad-infused sensor is nothing short of astonishing, to the point where it makes other capable camera phones like the iPhone 17 Pro, feel dated by comparison.

The battery life, while not quite as long as what you’ll get with the X9 Pro, is still leagues ahead of most other Android phones. Our PCMark Battery Test got the phone to run for a total of 25 hours and 36 minutes before giving up the ghost, placing it ahead of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Throw in 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and it’s hard to imagine that you’ll ever feel the pangs of battery anxiety with the X9 Ultra in tow.

The large 6.82-inch display, aside from being a great viewfinder for the cameras, is also brilliantly designed for entertainment on the go. Streaming apps pop with plenty of colour, but if you’re more of a gamer, then you can lean on the 144Hz refresh rate for an exhilarating experience. It’s such a brilliant phone that there isn’t much to complain about, other than the fact that at £1,449, it’s one heck of an investment that just isn’t realistic for most people. If you can afford it, however, the X9 Ultra is a winner.

Who should buy the Oppo Find X9 Ultra?

Anyone who can afford it – it’s the phone to beat right now.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra: Further considerations

If your budget can’t quite cover it, the Find X9 Pro is still great and more affordable.

Forget just being a great Oppo phone, the Find X9 Pro is one of those rare Android handsets that pretty much sets the bar for most of its competitors to reach or surpass. This is no easy feat either, given that the Find X8 Pro was also an outstanding phone in its own right, but the X9 Pro takes the overall experience to the next level.

While there are quite a few flagship features to hone in on, the one that really stands out from the pack is the Find X9 Pro’s camera setup. Unlike the previous Oppo flagship, there are now three rear-facing cameras instead of four, but one of them is a new 200Mp 3x telephoto lens, which, as far as we’re concerned, is well worth the exchange.

This newer camera setup is capable of some unbelievable shots, and whether the scenario involved a cityscape at night or pets lounging about during the daytime, we found it nearly impossible to take a bad picture with these cameras. There’s also a 50Mp front-facing sensor for plenty of detail during a quick group selfie.

What’s even more impressive is that the X9 Pro has the battery life required so you can take as many shots as you like, with its massive 7500mAh cell being able to run for up to two days at a time (even three days under conservative use). The real shame is that with all of this prowess, the phone isn’t available to consumers in the US which makes it an immediate write-off for a lot of people.

Who should buy the Oppo Find X9 Pro?

Smartphone camera enthusiasts who want the best tech possible.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra has an even more expansive camera system.

After taking a break from the UK market, Oppo returned with the Find X8 Pro which was undoubtedly one of the highest-specced phones available at the time of release, and a beast in the camera department.

The camera array is very similar to what you’ll find on the Find X7 Ultra, with impressive results in both good and low lighting conditions. This, in turn, renders scenes with incredible colour, detail and dynamic range. Autofocus is incredibly impressive too, as are the AI enhancements when you zoom in beyond 60x.

There’s a lot of other things to love about the Oppo Find X8 Pro. The whopping 5910mAh cell means you’ll get around a day and a half’s worth of battery life on average, even when streaming and playing the odd game. Performance is lightning fast and on par with some gaming phones, thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor.

The seemingly Apple-inspired take on ColorOS 15 is quick, easy to use and even boasts some useful AI features. Pair that with a premium, curved design with an IP69 rating, a gorgeous 120Hz display and the new camera control button, and you’ve got the recipe for an epic Oppo phone, and one that’s even cheaper now that the X9 Pro has hit the scene.

Even though the Find X9 is now available, its predecessor remains a great option, especially if you can find a discount.

Who should buy the Oppo Find X8 Pro?

Those who want top-shelf performance across the board, but don’t have the cash for the X9 Pro.

Oppo Find X8 Pro: Further considerations

It’s still more expensive than flagship phones from the likes of Google and Apple.

If you ever needed more proof that Oppo is one of the true kings of the mid-range market, look no further than the outstanding Oppo Reno 13 Pro. Oppo’s latest mid-range punches way above its weight to provide consumers with top-tier features at a price that massively undercuts the competition, even if it is pricier than what came before.

Just to look at the phone, you could never tell that it was anything less than a flagship device. With a glass backing and an official IP69 rating, the Reno 13 Pro feels premium in the hand, and the eye-catching Plume Purple colourway just goes that bit further to helping it stand out amongst the crowd.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 does a respectable job, but the real shining star of this phone is its camera array. The three rear-facing cameras, which are headlined by a 50Mp main sensor, are able to capture tons of colour and dynamic range so even if the available light sources are a mixed bag, you’ll still be able to pick up tons of detail that can then be toyed around with in the editing suite.

Battery life is also stellar thanks to a massive 5800mAh cell that can be topped up via 80W wired charging or 50W wireless charging. It’s an experience that’ll leave you wanting for very little, we just think it’s a shame that in addition to a price increase over the Reno 12 Pro, the phone has a fair amount of bloatware, although this can be deleted rather easily.

Who should buy the Oppo Reno 13 Pro?

The Oppo Reno 12 FS was already a great option for budget buyers, but the Reno 13 FS has stepped up with a handful of upgrades that only enhance the value on offer. Although there’s a decent uptick in price (jumping from £299 to £399), it’s a worthy trade-off for all that you get here, the headline of which is the outstanding battery life.

Thanks to a much larger 5800mAh battery, you can easily stretch the Oppo Reno 13 FS into two days of use between charges. Even when subjected to more intensive days during our testing, we reached a day and a half, meaning you can leave your charger at home for an overnight stay.

When you do get around to topping up the phone, the 45W fast charging can net you back a full battery in just 90 minutes (and there’s even a fast charging-compatible power adapter included). The phone itself feels very solid in the hand, with a durable IP69 rating that allows it to withstand the elements without issue, so you won’t have to worry about the chassis deteriorating over time.

Given the uptick in price, it would have been nice to see the 13 FS launch with a faster chipset than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which lags behind the performance of rivals like the Poco F7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy A56. Still, that CPU works fine in most cases, with high-end gaming being the key exception, so it’s still a great option for the majority of people.

Who should buy the Oppo Reno 13 FS?

Battery-conscious buyers who value longevity in a mid-range phone.

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro offers a lot for the money, and while you could pick up the newer Reno 13 Pro, it’s still a great option if you can find it. The screen is excellent, the design is unique and eye-catching, the software is easy to use and the AI features come in quite handy.

The cameras are good in the daylight, with the selfie camera being particularly impressive. However, in low light and with fast-moving subjects, they leave a little to be desired. The gaming performance is slightly lacking, too.

Whether this phone is right for you all depends on your priorities. If you’re keen on AI-powered productivity, it’s one of the best options in its price bracket. However, some rivals, such as the Google Pixel 9a, offer more when it comes to photography.

Who should buy the Oppo Reno 12 Pro?

Those in the market for an affordable mid-range phone that looks like a premium device.

Oppo Reno 12 Pro: Further considerations

You’re better off looking elsewhere if you have mobile gaming in mind.

The Oppo Reno 11 F 5G is a capable mid-range smartphone with a very nice display, two great cameras, a robust design, long battery life and speedy charging, making it ideal for casual users. It’s also got some niche features that may appeal to some such as the ability to cut out subjects and use them as stickers and low-temperature charging.

The price tag of £349 means it faces stiff competition from brands such as Poco, Honor, Vivo and even Google, which best the phone in different areas such as battery life, performance and camera abilities. However, if there is a deal available on this phone, it may be worth considering.

Who should buy the Oppo Reno 11 F 5G?

Anyone who wants yesteryear’s budget phone at an even cheaper price.

Oppo Reno 11 F 5G: Further considerations

The newer Reno 12 FS isn’t that much more expensive than what you’ll pay here.
