Honor Magic V6 launched with global rollout confirmed

The Honor Magic V6 has officially launched in Malaysia and Singapore, with the firm saying this is just the start of the phone’s global rollout.

We now also have a price as the V6 costs RM 7,699 in Malaysia, which seems to represent a 10% price hike. The Honor Magic V5 launched at RM 6,999 last July.

The device can be pre-ordered from today up to its 11 June release date. Those who pre-order will get “limited-time free gifts” valued up to RM 3,797, including a 2-Year Worry-Free Quality Assurance plan and 1-Year Worry-Free Crack Protection.

Sadly, we don’t have much in the way of detail for its wider launch. Honor told Tech Advisor that the V6 “will also be launching across Europe, the Middle East, and additional markets throughout June.”

We’ll share more on UK and European pricing and availability as we receive it. The Malaysian price converted comes to around £1,425, but this may not be a good estimate of its final price in Blighty.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 currently rules the foldable roost with its super-slender form factor, while the Motorola Razr Fold recently entered the fray with a chic design, great screens and solid cameras.

Let’s not forget the Honor Magic V5, which seemed to throw everything at the wall in its pursuit of foldable mastery.

The Honor Magic V6 looks set to go even further, judging from our hands-on back in March when it was first unveiled at MWC 2026. Here’s what you can expect.

Honor Magic V6 design

It measures just 8.75mm thick when closed, for one thing, which undercuts the 8.9mm Galaxy Z Fold 7. It’s just 4mm thick when open (for the white colour anyway).

At 219g, it’s a little heavier than Samsung’s phone, but only by 4g. When you consider that it packs a 6660mAh, that’s quite a feat. This is bigger even than the Motorola Razr Fold’s 6000mAh cell, and is supported by impressive 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.

Honor claims that its foldable features a Super Steel Hinge and – get this –� “an AI-assisted bionic cushioning system”. We’ve grown a little wary of manufacturers putting AI before everything, but this is next-level stuff.

The inner display, too, has been reinforced with Honor’s Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield. It also features IP68 and IP69 certification, which carries it beyond the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Honor Magic V6 display, performance and camera

Talking of displays, the Magic V6 features a 6.52-inch outer display and a 7.95-inch inner foldable display, both of which hit 120Hz.

The outer screen can hit 6,000 nits, while the inner screen can hit 5,000 nits – some way shy of the Razr Fold’s 6,200 nits, but still impressive.

The foldable runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which gives it the edge over all of the foldable opposition to date (though the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to follow suit).

In terms of photography, the Honor Magic V6 packs in a 50Mp main camera, and a 64Mp 1/2-inch periscope telephoto camera that seems to have gained the CIPA 6.5-stop image stabilisation of the Honor Magic 8 Pro. There’s also a 50Mp ultra-wide camera.
