Recent news reports have opened old sores regarding Toyin Aimahku and her  estranged husband Niyi Johnson. It was alleged that the latter tried to poison her during their marriage.


According to Punch, some Instagram followers of Johnson, on Thursday, June 30, 2016, accused him of trying to poison Aimahku.

The actress also made a comment regarding the issue moments after the accusation, writing “Silence is no longer golden”, Punch reported.

She however declined to comment more on the matter when she was approached by reporters. The actress bluntly told them she is not interested in discussing her break-up.

“If you don’t mind, this is not something I want to talk about”, she said.

A bit of shock also came from Johnson’s end of the issue. According to Punch, the actor feigned ignorance of the matter, claiming not to know what the reporters were talking about.

Johnson said, “I don’t know where you got your story from, I don’t know what you are talking about”
