[redalert]Jose Mourinho[/redalert] looks set to be announced as the next manager of Manchester United, sources reveal.
The 52-year-old lost his job at Chelsea last week following a lean run that saw the Blues win just four of their opening 16 league games.

Since then, the Portuguese head coach has been heavily linked with the Red Devils job with manager Louis van Gaal struggling to keep the club aloft in the title race.

Spanish source Fichajes now claims that the 'Special One' could take over from Van Gaal in the New Year, should the Dutchman fail to change the club's fortunes in the coming games.

It is added that the Mancunian giants have already negotiated a five-year deal with [redalert]Mourinho.[/redalert]

United are currently fifth in the league standings following a run of four league games without a win.
