The Nigeria army has announced the arrest of a suspected female member of the Boko Haram in Borno State.

According to Col. Sani Usman, army spokesperson in the state, some insurgents were also killed in the encounter between the troops and the insurgents, while some weapons were‎ recovered from them. ‎

?In efforts to continually dominate recovered territories and clear all Nigerian territory of Boko Haram vestiges, the advancing troops of fifth brigade task group have today cleared five more terrorists camps at Hausari and Baranga in Marte local government area of Borno state,? Usman said in a statement Friday.


?The troops during and encounter with Boko Haram terrorists at the camps killed two terrorists and recovered two dane guns and a double barrel gun, while 12 motorcycles abandoned by some fleeing terrorists were destroyed.

?In addition, a suspected female member of the terrorists group was captured and is currently undergoing interrogation,?‎ ‎ he added.
